About us
EastendHomes currently has 2169 tenanted homes in management, with a further 1419 leasehold properties on estates. The estates comprise several clusters across the borough, stretching from the southern part of the Isle of Dogs through to Spitalfields on the fringe of the City of London.
EastendHomes provides a comprehensive housing management service from local estate-based offices. Tenant and leaseholder involvement is an important part of developing and shaping housing services in order to meet the needs, priorities and aspirations of residents.
EastendHomes has developed comprehensive plans for the regeneration of all our estates. These “masterplans” were developed prior to ballots for transfer and involved extensive consultation with local estate residents. We aim to complete all our estate improvement programmes by 2012, at which time all EastendHomes homes will meet the Government's Decent Homes Standard. The overall five-year investment programme will total some £82m, of which £11m will be provided through gap funding by the Government, £41m from our loan facility with Barclays and the remainder from income generated through our business plan.
EastendHomes received its Tenant Services Authority Viability Report in November 2010.
