Because equality and diversity issues are fundamental to how EastendHomes works and thinks, we have a programme of reviewing all our policies and procedures which includes carrying out an impact assessment screening to determine if any policy or procedure being reviewed has a disproportionate impact on any particular group.

One of our most important policies is our responsive repairs policy, and a full Equality Impact Assessment has been carried out assessing how fairly our policy affects our residents. As part of the development process, groups of residents were consulted on their thoughts on a draft of the final assessment and their contributions have been incorporated into the conclusions.
