The Mile End east estates were the first to go to ballot and transferred to EastendHomes in April 2005.
As with our other areas, the estates were represented by a steering group formed during the Housing Choice process, which was reconstituted following the ballot in May 2004 and continued until local elections were held for a new board in the autumn of 2005.
The Chair of the Mile End Board is Bernard Cameron, who is a tenant of the British Street estate and also Vice Chair of the EastendHomes main board.
The Mile End Board meets regularly at The Centre on Merchant Street.
