Further update on Denning Point

EastendHomes (EeH) has provided a number of updates on the publication of results from the testing programme currently being undertaken by the Building Research Establishment (BRE). We have also regularly kept the residents of Denning Point informed about the results of the tests of cladding systems involving different combinations of cladding panels and types of insulation (most recently these letters).

The results of test No7 involving a combination of fire retardant(FR) panels and phenolic insulation have now been published and the BRE have determined that this combination of materials is non compliant.

EeH has previously confirmed that the cladding system on Denning Point comprises a combination of (FR) panels and solid aluminium panels located at each floor level on the block, with spanatherm fire barriers also installed at each floor level. The insulation type is phenolic. EeH can confirm that every effort is continuing to be made to obtain further specialist advice and for a test of this specific combination of materials to be undertaken. In the meantime EeH is continuing to follow Government advice regarding fire safety measures which will remain in place pending the identification and implementation of remedial action.
