Good people celebrate good times at Christmas Lunch

EastendHomes' OAP Christmas Lunch was more popular than ever thanks to the help of corporate volunteers and generous comedians.

The seasonal event took place on Friday 7 December at Southern Grove Community Centre welcoming over 100 residents from Mile End, Shadwell, Spitalfields and the Isle of Dogs.

As well as a delicious Christmas lunch with all the festive trimmings, residents were kept entertained with competitions and a good old-fashioned sing-a-long compèred by comedian Norman Pace.

Paul Wilson, EastendHomes Community Engagement Manager, said:

Our annual Christmas lunch for our older residents is a firm favourite with our community. It's a real delight to see friends and neighbours catch up with one another. We are really grateful for the support of our corporate volunteers from Canary Wharf and of course our brilliant host Norman Pace. Their generous support makes this event so special and really sums up what this time of year is all about.
